Just got back from a week away with the family. Firstly the site is easy to find, it has a great location and I couldn’t fault the staff and to be honest the entertainment was brilliant and varied. Very professional.
The caravan was ready earlier than expected, and clean enough. The bed was surprisingly big and comfortable. There was a couple of issues.. neither of the WC doors locked, the main bedroom door couldn’t shut and the caravan was on a bit of an angle. But they were minor really.
The site is well laid out and has all the things you would expect.. but pricey.. really pricey! Not just inflation pricey!
The major down side was the pool, it probably was a good size once but it is inadequate for the amount of people that can be there at busy periods now.. and for 2/3k a week in the summer.. you’d expect better. The pool booking system allowed us to go twice, if the weather hadn’t of been so good it would of been an issue.
Perran sands is on top of Perranporth beach, it is truly beautiful, massive, clean and there’s a good variety of waves.. also really beats the busy Perranporth town beach and other local beaches such as watergate bay. The shop only takes cash, so be prepared for that and the steep ascent back to the site… but that’s all part of the fun.
If you’re taking dogs, it’s perfect.
